Cheap Furminator Medium-size $20

Furminator is a pretty awesome tool for deshedding your pet. It works on many different types of dogs but I would do a quick google search to see if it’s effective with your type of dog. For shibas, it’s great :D I’ve used it on Pong Pong and though she’s not fond of it, it does reduce the amount of hair on my clothes.

The medium one is fine for a shiba but you may need a large one for large-sized dogs like golden retreivers.

It’s usually 30-40 bucks for a medium one so it’s a pretty good deal!

Puppies everywhere!

We went to Clinton to visit some puppies fostered by NJ Puppy Rescue and saw 2 elkhound/huskies that were 10-11 weeks old.

Such a cutie!

There was other dogs there too.. all puppies! They were sooooooooo adorable :)

Here’s a few pictures of the elksie:

Then we went to the park and pooped and peed…well at least Pong did. First, we went on a small slide:

She was pretty relucant on going down the slide but I held her all the way down. Then we went on a bigger one that twirls to the bottom.. She was definitely not happy. But a quick push and she leap off the slide 5 feet up. We couldn’t stop laughing enough to check to see if she was alright. Fortunately, she wasn’t hurt but it was hysterical to see a flying shiba. So we had to do it again on record. But she didn’t jump.. she fell all the way down the slide. hahaha. UNFORTUNATELY, none of it was on video >.<

Hope you are thankful for your spoiled brat! :)

So you want a shiba alarm clock..

Say you have to wake up at an early hour of 8am and you have grown immune to all the ringtones you’ve set on your phone as an alarm. Pong has come up with a way to resolve that problem!

Step 1: Have your dog pretend to like snuggling near you.

cimg2428.jpg

If you haven’t gotten up yet to exclaim at the rare occurrence, continue on to..

Step 2: Telepathically  tell your dog to sit.

cimg2429.jpg

If you still can’t get up despite realizing your dog can HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS AND ACTUALLY OBEY THEM..

Step 3: Have them sit on your face.

cimg2430.jpg

Most of the time you will have the fortunate luck of your face in the same direction where your dog is and be able to get up when a big fat furball is clogging up your breathing passage. Though as you can tell in this picture, the human has gotten smart and sleeps facing the other way.

If all else fails, just tell your dog to sigh a lot and crawl up next to you and hog all the pillow.

If that pitiful-make-me-some-yummy-human-food-now look doesn’t get ya, think of how late you will be to work/school when your shiba decides to take her/his sweet ol’ time finding a poopy spot. :)

I really got to keep up with these posts

So Pong’s been staying with me at the apartment the past few weeks. Though it gets pretty annoying at night where she barks at every sound like door creaking, tree limbs scraping against the house, etc. But it’s nice to have a warm body that nudges into you in the most awkward position to sleep in.

My housemates loveeee her.. except during meal time, which can occur anytime from 12pm to 4am in the morning. She’s getting pretty good at stealing food and taking licks at what’s on your plate. Fortunately, nobody is germaphobic and tend to keep eating along with the dog hair that is usually found in the food anyways.

We did have a doggy playdate with 1 pomeranion, 1 chiuawawa, and 2 other shibas. A total of 5 dogs in a house… imagine the amount of butt sniffing and ball icking had occured.. It was fun though, watching the 3 shibas ignoring each other and going after the smaller dogs.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures at the moment but I’ll put them up later..

Here are some pictures of the dogs.. uh, being in the same room:

all the dogs together.. sort of.

the pom and the chihuahua. Can you tell who’s who?

Here are they together again, ignoring each other.
